Ha, just to keep some GS content...
Eric, it is an '81 minus the bags and fairing.
PipeMasters exhaust, Euro Boomerang Comstars, Raask rearsets, a bunch of stuff.
Of course, the 8" GS headlight suits it quite well.
    It is a fun bike.

          Now begs the other question...
Why haven't I seen any pic's of that 1000 either?
So what year is the engine in it?

          Beautiful bike! BTW.

This thread made me realize that I haven't posted a pic of The Flame! since I joined (ahem) 4 years ago. Had a nice ride through Lanark Country this morning and snapped this on Wolf Grove Road.

This is my first try at linking a pic, hope it works!

Finally went out for a long ride on mine. Went from Cleveland to just east of the PA border. Took all back roads, 90% farms. It was like a 250 mile round trip.

Passed through some old towns. Like early 1800 towns it looked like. Had a great old wooden building with "Star Cycles" hand painted on the front window with an old bench out front advertising war bonds. It would have been a cool spot for a picture, but there were a lot of other people around so I felt like a tool.

On the way home I did make a detour though, but the champ wasn't home.

That is Mike Tysons abandoned mansion in Southington, OH.

First real sun in about a week yesterday so got out for a short ride along some local roads. Was fun except a lot of it was in shadow and still damp in a lot of the corners so I took it very easy:

This is from a high point on Bunya Rd:

This is the little bridge on Bunya Rd that was flooded a few months back when John and I attempted to head this way:

Still a reasonable amount of flow after the rain last week:

And from the top of Bunya Rd on my way back:

And it's filthy but I was definitely there on the 450

Yes I did!!!!! Sorry, no pics.... I finally got settled enough in the new home to dust off (just kidding, there was no dust) the S and take it for a ride. Found a nice twisty road very close by.

It was great to get it out and running, I think it has been almost 8 weeks.

Nice start, but even on a Saturday, there is traffic in Los Angeles. Still, good to get out there.
