Had our usual Saturday morning Katana ride yesterday but as our bikes were already filthy we took a bit of a different route which had a couple of short gravel sections... came across a photo opportunity along the way.

It was a bit of a cloudy morning but we could pretty much see all the way back to Brisbane with the naked eye but doesn't show up in the photo.

Last Saturday was the 12 week mark, and you see pics posted of the GK from that Saturday and Sunday.

Monday was ortho doctor appointment with the official return to normal activitys (is still some chance of re-injury).
So Monday and Tuesday and Wednesday and Friday and Saturday I did just that. (THurdsay was babysitting duty.)

Explored sunset in two places in Muskegon

Rode into GR, and then on way back took a longer route back further north thru orchard areas. Sometimes even the sttraight roads can be intersting.

Then this morning, headed out early for sunrize before Saturday coffee/breakfast group.
(and the picture-pose that some folks might be looking for, yes, with this bike too)

Yes, failure damage from its attempted Ride-Home-From-SanDiego was fixed (replaced final drive unit), thanks to two great GSR members. (See Post #6987 What Wrench On Today.)
So, yah, the RT was available right when I was.

One problem though, that California bike keeps wanting to go between lanes of slow or stopped traffic, and wants to buzz along at 85-90 on the highway.

Thanks for the laugh. Did you change the license plate or does it still say CA.? Maybe the bike is confused.

Looking good Dave. Glad you got the Beemer in the rotation. You should consider taking the trunk and side bags off and go for that lean look. It's definitely a nice looking motorcycle. 👍

Oh, keep them darn motosickeles off the boat ramps... 😉

Went on a 225 mile "Oyster Run avoidance" small group ride. Hadn't ridden with more than 1 person in ages.
We had 4. Went on some new roads 50 miles from home, even after living here for 45 years.

Came across this trio of old trucks on a ride through wine country today.
Nice smell of grapes in the air.
Been on the same road many times and never seen them.

Having an eye for scenes like that and stopping for a pic is a real treat for us all. Thanks, Steve.

Also, it sure gives you an advantage in the weekly photo game.

Those are really cool old trucks. We passed a field of old windmills I neglected to stop at. Also, another field of old gas pumps. I know where they are though so we will stop next time. Honestly, it makes a big difference if I'm riding solo or two up as to whether I'll stop for photos. It's a bit cumbersome to get us both off and on the bike on the roadside multiple times for photos.

In the end, it pays to stop for pics. We frame them and have great memories preserved by taking the effort to dismount and smell the roses, or grapes as in your case.

It doesn't matter which bit of unspoiled forest you find, some asshat has already burned out a car in it.

Finally pulled, and cleaned, the carbs on the Trophy this weekend. Went out on a nice ride today.
Found this Texaco sign not far from the house.

Yesterday i managed to get out for 3 hours and as Chuck Berry says "with no particular place to go".
Rode by the giant catfish on the outskirts of Dunnville. It is a rather odd sight to see.
