I finally got my new bike all legal today. NYS DMV is partially shut down and even more confusing than normal. I rode on a few different types of road and it felt great everywhere. So smooth. I think this one is a keeper.

I've taken pictures of almost every bike I've owned at this spot overlooking the gorge at Letchworth State Park. Seemed like a good place for pics for the insurance company.

Handled the dirt roads at least as well as any of my GS's.

I went for a short ride because my bike was back from the shop.

Suspension seems stiffer, and steering seems more accurate.

Didn't take pictures, it was raining and I chose the adventure helmet and jeans. Was weird to get my nose wet while riding. Might go out again as soon as my jacket has dried a bit.

Congratulations on your new bike! I don't know you personally, but I think that bike is YOU. 👍

We should meet up sometime. I was just in your neck of the woods last weekend...👍

                            Thanks, Carter.
Stock for the '79 carbs are 65 primary and 98 main. With the pods i am at 80/120.
Runs well with no real flat spots. A bit of popping on deceleration and slightly worse gas mileage. Nothing to worry about.

Today I went on the mandatory post-wash ride (my manual states it needs to be run hot after being washed), was nice. Its starting to get green here. My bike handles a lot smoother now too, not sure if its the new fork oil, new rings, or the correct tire pressure. It smells turtle wax rim cleaner now though...

Dont have to take out an axle (and odd spacers) to remove rear wheel.
