I have to admit... the last time I felt good on the cycle was 2020... that particular year my younger son was keen to explore the area, but required an "adult" for late night bicycle rides. Much time spent on the bicycle directly related to the GS, I felt good, plus I did a decent amount of moto time that year. Last year my moto miles were in the triple digits, and not necessarily with confidence. I've been dragging my feet in regards to getting on the GS this spring, so starting last night I pulled out the bicycle and took a ride.... I need the physical exercise as well anyway. I ended up at the courthouse spending time weaving in between two long rows of handicap signs practicing balance, braking, and the all important looking into turns. I immediately overestimated my skill and washed out the front wheel while braking / turning and fell.... before too long, I was doing pretty good though. It was fun. Im going to hopefully continue, that and then probably do some parking lot practice on the GS. Hopefully over the long weekend I'll get out for a ride.sigpic
When consulting the magic 8 ball for advice, one must first ask it "will your answers be accurate?"

50 miles on last night after my wife returned to watch the kid. Gorgeous sunset and the GS is just running fantastically!
The throttle fix is night and day in ride performance. Easy blip shifts, and the 550E seems eager now that I can flick the throttle more quickly.
What a gem of a little bike, I absolutely love it.
Cheers,

I'm sitting in Fairmont WV tonight after 300+ miles on my way to Gettysburg to meet up with some family tomorrow. If you are ever in the West Virginia area and want to have a lasting grin from ear to ear, get onto the Mountaineer Highway (WV-7), you won't be disappointed. Just try to avoid the logging trucks as they will drop your speed to 5 mph and with no room to get by at all.
Speaking of miles, it's finally over the big one. Took these pictures while sightseeing after I checked into the motel; about ten more miles were added on to this picture by the time I finished dinner and arrived back.

100K miles is something special and it really takes the right bike to make it work, When I rolled the T120 over 100K miles last year it was a nice feeling in that I knew I found a bike I could basically ride all the time and not get sick of it. Congrats and welcome to the 6 figure mile club Scott!
Love the bike Trev! I know your in break in so not chasing it but I wonder how you'd compare it to your old GSX-S1000F?
Best,

Tuesday morning, 55degF, Rode to Muskegon , visit brother in hospital.
ANd then down by beach there.
Saw this new artwork in traffic circle near the beach.
THen went downtown, saw street vendor hot dog wagon, bye the courthouse.
Yum, chilie dog with onion and cheese for $3 each
.
THen rode thru the country side, just decide at each intersction which way to go, but generally keep going mostly east and some south. Saw lots of peach orchards and apple orchards. Didnt stop for pics.
Till got to just outside Grand Rapids, then puched up destinaation on GPS.
Picked up a lacross stick for grandson. THe stick for defenceman is 70" long. Strapped that across back seat, should have got pic of that, it stuck out 3 foot on each side (or so it seemed). . Seemed secured quite stable, but was concerend about the webbing in the head in the wind on the 40 mile ride home, so dropped it off at daughters house that was somewhat nearby.
Low 70s for ride home.
HAve had a couple other rides, just errands around town, or out for coffee.
Did have some other free time, but was in garage working on GK clutch.Last edited by Redman; 05-26-2022, 11:05 PM.http://webpages.charter.net/ddvrnr/GS850_1100_Emblems.jpg

Yesterday's ride into Gettysburg was just as fun through West Virginia and Maryland although Mountaineer Hwy had a lot of washboarding along the middle of the lane. I think I need to schedule time to run back through that area as soon as possible
Spent some time on National Road both the US40 scenic route AND Maryland's own highway numbering: Got soaked today while touring the battlefield but enjoyed the promotion ceremony. One more day to spend here and then on to see Rich in Mifflinburg then home
