With the temps all the way up to 30, I'll be disassembling my GPz engine for removal from the frame. Looks like 30 labor hours over 10 days. (O.B. Joyful)

Borderline, I considered riding my CBR, but after a drive for auto parts and grocery store, the roads were too salty. I don't want road salt all over my bike and chain.Originally posted by Redman View Post

Probably....although my K1300R with the factory quick shifter is very quick to 60mph.Originally posted by Rob S. View PostFastest, quickest thing you've ever ridden?
The fastest I ever had my k1300r was 265kmph (165mph)...it had more but I was done lol
The K1300R has a factory 173hp
The Busa has 175hp
And my VFR1200F has 170hp
torque numbers are all basically the same at around 100
But the Busa has had some performance upgrades like full Yoshi exhaust and power commander....and she has two dyno sheets of 171hp and 165hp
Now all this said, I have not really had a chance to open the Busa up....and those days (nerve) may be behind me...lol
Either way the 1st gen Busa is supposed to be the fastest production motorcycle ever made.
From Cycle World Magazine....
"The Cycle World 1999 Hayabusa ran a 9.86-second, 146 mph quarter-mile—face-meltingly fast for the time and still among the best we’ve ever recorded. It also did 194 mph for the old CW Stalker radar gun, which we are going to bronze and hang on the wall in our office because no bike that gun has recorded before or since will ever go so fast. Yes, the ‘Busa remains the fastest production top speed we have ever recorded, and its overriding competence in crushing air like this led to the 2000 “gentleman’s agreement” among manufacturers to voluntarily limit top speed to 300 kph, or 186 mph, so that governments wouldn’t intervene. A record attained, then preserved".No signature :(

I like them fast but I wouldnt run it that fast except on a track too, my Viper is supposed to be good for 300KPH as well and I might survive an incident better in it... IMG_1971.jpg1986 1150EF
