Stay away from new Corvettes. The ZR1-X ran 8.675@159 in street trim.... It is $180k more than a Busa though. Oh, top speed 233MPH.
Probably....although my K1300R with the factory quick shifter is very quick to 60mph.
The fastest I ever had my k1300r was 265kmph (165mph)...it had more but I was done lol
The K1300R has a factory 173hp
The Busa has 175hp
And my VFR1200F has 170hp
torque numbers are all basically the same at around 100
But the Busa has had some performance upgrades like full Yoshi exhaust and power commander....and she has two dyno sheets of 171hp and 165hp
Now all this said, I have not really had a chance to open the Busa up....and those days (nerve) may be behind me...lol
Either way the 1st gen Busa is supposed to be the fastest production motorcycle ever made.
From Cycle World Magazine....
"The Cycle World 1999 ?Haya?busa ran a 9.86-second, 146 mph ?quarter-mile—face-meltingly fast for the time and still among the best we’ve ever recorded. It also did 194 mph for the old CW Stalker radar gun, which we are going to bronze and hang on the wall in our office because no bike that gun has recorded before or since will ever go so fast. Yes, the ‘Busa remains the fastest production top speed we have ever recorded, and its over?riding competence in crushing air like this led to the 2000 “gentleman’s agreement” among manufacturers to voluntarily limit top speed to 300 kph, or 186 mph, so that governments wouldn’t intervene. A record attained, then preserved".sigpic

When consulting the magic 8 ball for advice, one must first ask it "will your answers be accurate?"

What an amazing "winter" we have had on Vancouver Island. So far we have not even had one snowflake fall.
My wife and son are in Vietnam for 3 weeks and I'm missing them like crazy. But with two dogs, I have been pretty darn busy...lol
I feel guilty leaving the dogs alone for a bit but I couldn't resist getting out on the Busa

I picked up the BMW from the shop yesterday.
All last week I've been watching the weather hoping for a nice day on Saturday.
Last Monday the weather man said 60° on Saturday.
Towards the end of the week they said 50° as a high on Saturday... Still not a problem as I have cold riding gear...
It got up to 61° yesterday! A beautiful day.

Hey! Hey! A clear 50degF day yesterday. Roads mostly clear of salt.
So took this bike.
Rode into town, stopped a couple place. A boat ramp park on river, and the campground of the state park.

THen rode south out of town for a ways, then back home. Not a lot of miles, but out for an hour. Didnt get cold at all, being suited up quite well.
Rainy today and next couple days, an d back to more normal temps, so good that I got out yesterday.Bikes

In response to Dave's enquiry about why the exhaust manifold was on my motorcycle.
Last summer while heading to my cousins house in Arizon, I hit some debris on the road.
I would patch it with J-B Weld. It would last about 1000 miles or so, then blowout again.
Over the winter I was able to find a replacement manifold on E-Bay.
It will be such a relief to get it fixed properly. 20250525_122136.jpgMy Motorcycles:

First ride of the year is in the books after 75 miles around town. I enjoyed the ride so much I didn’t stop to get pictures even with the nice sunset.
