Had a visit from this Vermonter Jedz123 this morning. He stayed long enough for me and my son Noah to take him on a short ride on some of our favorite forest roads. And that quick he was off again to try to race ahead of the snowstorm coming to beat up New England just a little more. Godspeed, Justin. So great to see you again.

That guy from Vermont is crazy...

I finally got a chance to go for a ride yesterday. It's snowing again today. Went to my kids house and to town to pick up car parts. First ride of the year.

Takes one to one Eli69! Glad you got a ride in. This winter can end any day now.

Rich82GS750TZ thanks for the quick pit stop! It was nice running into you twice! 3rd time a charm for this season?

1700 miles over 3 days, lots of mountain and back road riding it was a great little getaway. Boy am I out of MC shape though!

Very grateful for all my MC family, and thank you again Rich!
        Best,
        -Jedz

I pulled Rich from work for lunch on my way down, Thursday.

Finally had the opportunity for a 50 mile lunch time ride. Rode up north on our famously flat and featureless roads to check out a restaurant/bar in the tiny farm town of Kempton Indiana. My neighor tagged along on his 09 Harley RoadKing. We ended up riding about 5 miles of gravel (leaving US-421 to go East) along the railroad that goes between Frankfort and Tipton. Felt properly rural and off the beaten path. The "Breeze-In Pub" did not dissappoint: I watched my pork tenderloin sandwich get cut, pounded, breaded and fried fresh to order. Best tenderloin sandwich I've had in some years I'd say. I better find some corners to ride this Bandit on before these fresh Pirellis get flat spots worn down the middle!

55degF and partly sunny. On spur of the moment, thought to go for a short round, 9hole, of disc golf, for first time in year and a half or two.

Man, its been a long winter. And it seems that over the winter my "morning walks" have turned into "sitting in coffee shops".
Geepers, that 9 holes, on a short course, was tiring, aside from the shooting, the walking and the bending over, and stomping thru the brush looking for disc, I was tired, and using the benches on the last couple holes.

58, 59, never bothered me. 60 was like a punch to the gut.

Just getting comfortable with the 60s, and the 70s are less than 13 months away!

No, those days are over. I've been trailering to BC since we moved to TN.

These days I can't go more than a 2-3 hours without my hands starting to hurt. And if I push it, forget riding the next day.
Although it's much better on this bike because the clutch so, so, so easy.

The small Triumph would not be suitable, IMO, for long distance highway miles.
(Sure I know it could be done, and I am sure people do it, but not this 70 year old)

Got out with some other old retired guys for a ride through Tennessee and Kentucky. Crossed two Lakes four times via bridge or Ferry and had a great lunch in the Bumpus Mills Metropolitan area..........
