Where did you get the photo of the lass on the S? She used to go out with a mate of mine around 1980 (it's not his bike, he had an 850G). I only knew her nickname - Jim Baines (after a TV soap character she most definitely did not resemble). Small world I suppose.

Anyway, OT, the S came out of the box with those mirrors on over here as well as the unique S mirrors.79 GS1000S

How interesting about the girl on the S. I thought she was very attractive and loved the photo. I found that pic on the Cycle World site "Photos of Girls and Motorcycles" and copied it. I didn't realise the bikes in the UK came with those mirrors. Learn something new all the time.1979 GS1000S,

That is sexual assault in 2017..... Barry's career would be over. Not to make light of the Me Too campaign, but do we need to maintain a 3 foot barrier around women at all times?sigpic

It's a different culture in England. Heck, it's different in Europe. America is just uptight. Just my opinion based on living in England, Germany, and Italy... minimum 3 years in each country.

Cool, thanks. That must be one of the little details that purists love. And another clue to a bikes authenticity.Originally posted by Kiwi Canuck View Post"SUZUKI GS1000S" that is printed on all the OEM screens.sigpic

Yeah, I'm kinda confused with the mixed signals, even Spanish translation don't help.Originally posted by bobgroger View PostThat is sexual assault in 2017..... Barry's career would be over. I thought the pics were PG-friendly and tasteful. Please don't let this thread go down this road. I'll gladly remove it before it does. Thanks, guys.Originally posted by bobgroger View PostThat is sexual assault in 2017..... Barry's career would be over.
