    What is it made of?

I was just wondering if anybody knows what materials the 750/850 crank, rods, gears and gear shafts are made of?
The more specific the better as I have some leftover parts from a badly water damaged 850 i dismantled that I want to use as materials for fab or forge work.
Besides it would be nice to know what is in my other bikes.

Have you been watching Forged in Fire? Maybe you can make some Suzuki GS Samuri swords.

A katana would be quite appropriate.

When consulting the magic 8 ball for advice, one must first ask it "will your answers be accurate?"

Every guy I know loves that show, and most of the ladies have never heard if it. A katana would be very appropriate.

While I like forged in fire, I am more interested in making tools.

A katana made from Suzuki internals would be pretty awesome I must admit.

Not to mention, that one of the GS models is called a Katana...

I know that I can use the bearings and gear shafts but I was hoping someone could tell me if the crank is forged or cast, steel or iron; same for the rods and gears.
