Ok...I think it's pretty clear just how much I love my old Suzuki's....so I decided to start a thread dedicated to our love affair of the best motorcycle ever made....the Suzuki GS series!!!

Show us what you have or have had...

    I'll go first with my 1980 GS1000S

I do love my GS! I loved the first 850 G I had in 1991. Sadly I sold it after only a year, regretting that day for decades. Forward a few years...ahem, decades... to 2016 and I was elated to find another 850 G in such good condition.

                Here's my 83 850 G after a bath.

Had my gs850gx since 1988 still loving it and it's patently waiting for the weather to warm up.

I love my GS so much more this year than in the past 14 years that I've owned it now that I've got the charging system sorted. Right now the forks, front caliper, and master cylinder are off, apart and cleaned, waiting to be put back together with all new parts and braided brake hose. Also going to do valve adjustment for the first time. It's finally getting the love it deserves.

                      Best shot of last summer.

My 81' 850GSX. The very first bike I've ever owned and the very first bike I rode on. My dad has had his 80' 850G for about 7 years now and I figured it was time to find one for myself. I've only owned it for about two years now (and paid a measly $1200 for it) but I sure have learned a lot through the maintenance. These bikes are so smooth and effortless... even though they weigh near 600lb. Even my brother is impressed at how fast the 850 accelerates compared to his 2013 900 Vulcan .

Here's one taken last year. I bought it back in 1992 with only around 13,000 kms (8,000 miles) on it and actually put it in storage for number of years before putting back on the road again in 2001. I don't go through a lot motorcycles but since I bought this I've owned and sold an XT350 Honda, FZ750 Yamaha and a Suzuki 750 EF so yes this one is the keeper. For the most part it's a stock original survivor with a few minor mods and upkeep as needed.

In 2005 I bought this GS1100E for $500 just to have a spare motor for my dragbike.
It was an '82, with some '83 parts.....

13.5 years later I still have her...Now she has an '83 frame, and some '82 parts...
