Out For The End Of The Season
Put my wife's bike back on the road after a 10 month hiatus, what with winter and trying to sell my brother-in-law's 750 Shadow. Funny how it sold at the end of the riding season. It was not a problem, put the battery back in, put it on prime, and on the second try of "rowh-rowh" it flashed right up! There's something to be said for laying up a bike properly. Battery was removed and thrown on a trickle charger once a month or so, tank was full of premium with fuel stabilizer, and I drained the carbs.Kevin

This is just the beginning of our riding season. Unfortunately, now we're going to have shorter days.Comment

I always go out of my way to fill up with Ethanol Free near the end of the season. Have a station nearby. Also many cardlock sites like CFN have Ethanol free if you have a card. https://www.pure-gas.org/sigpic

Yeah, I haven't had any luck finding ethanol-free around here - and I'm a block from the water! The local marina used to sell gas, but not any more.
Years ago I was driving to my girlfriend's house in the Hamptons and I start seeing the KZ1000 turbos sold by the dealers. Then at a Sunoco I see 110, 114 octane gas. "What's up?" "Didn't you know," she said, "there's a racetrack nearby."
"Oh man, I'm taking a couple drums of this back to the city with me."

Some premium is without ethanol. Chevron 94 is ethanol free, as is Premium from the CO-OP here on Vancouver Island. Oh, and thanks, Rob.Kevin
