    Beach cruiser GS 650

An interesting 1981 GS 650 customization.
Fresh out of Johnny Nguyen's workshop in Anaheim, and ready to soak up the summer vibes.

Dang, I'll bet he put a lot of time & effort in it. It looks really neatly done, but what is it he did? Whatever it is, it sure is different.

Beautifully finished POS. What good is a bike if it can't be ridden?

Yep, you're right, POS is a much better description than different.

It's a beach cruiser, meant for hunting tacos

              Not for actual riding

When you're young and crazy comfort isn't your first consideration, neither is safety for that matter! There's no doubt that I wouldn't want that bike these days but 30 years ago would be a different story. Given the resources I might even do one myself just for kicks.

This bike looks far more usable in the real world when you compare it to a lot of other custom machines out there. Let's keep in mind that the purists here are driving away some of the younger folks away due to their intolerance of anything that isn't by-the-book bone stock. If you don't believe me take a look at a site like DoTheTon or Chopcult and read some threads, comments about this site aren't hard to come across.

It think it's pretty to look at, for sure. But no tail/brake light, no turn signals front or back, no plate (that I can see), no front fender sure give it a clean look but you can't drive it, not in my state anyway. The bars are lowered so much but the pegs/foot controls look to be in the stock location, that makes my back hurt just looking at it. Maybe with rear-sets it might be ride-able for short trips.

The negative space created between the rear fender and cantilevered seat pan is very cool, design wise. That and the organic looking exhaust pipe bends (almost look like centipedes) are really the only things I like about it.

Very cool looking. I wouldn't ride it but somebody would. Just not me. Did I mention i wouldn't ride it?

It looks very well crafted. I don't have a problem with heavily modified bikes, but I hope the lobbed off backend trend ends soon.
Of most interest to me on this build is the monoshock conversion, which isn't shown in detail.

He took to heart the song ".....It never rains in Southern California". It would be nice to ride a few times before selling it to someone else that needs tacos.

Building a beach cruiser out of a motorcycle is like building a walking stock out of a pogo stick. Although he did a good job on fit and finish, it is a brain fart nevertheless.

Now this is a cool beach cruiser (for someone that actually lives near the beach). Might even be cool with a banana seat on it.

Price: $2299 | Model Year: 2018 | A motorcycle inspired fat tire electric bike with powerful 750 watt geared hub motor from Bafang, unique battery integration designed to look like a gas tank, two battery size options High-volume tires provide comfort and stability, padded grips, oversized sprung saddle, and swept back handlebar deliver comfort and an upright body position, this bike can handle taller riders With a maximum allowable weight of 330lbs (150kb) this is a great electric bike for big people, integrated headlight has high and low beam, beautiful paint matched steel chain cover, three color options Only available in one frame size, basic 7-speed drivetrain with somewhat limited 13 to 38 tooth cassette means there aren't as many options for climbing or pedaling at high speed, I experienced some delay with the 12-magnet cadence sensor but the twist throttle is smooth and both brake levers have motor inhibitors

I'm glad the idiots stay away from here. Regarding GSR guys looking down on modded bikes, that's not true. Some of the nicest bikes here are restomods, but those are usable bikes, not some hacked up bike running an open exhaust and emgo pods.
