    Frame ?

Will the bodywork off of a 1982 1100e fit on a 80 or 81 fame?

That's a good question. I'm going to venture a "not without some tinkering" guess, as the seat height was lowered substantially, and the bodywork appearing very different. I'll pull out my 1982 Cycle World review of the 11E and get back to you.

I think the frame might be identical, but the tank and side covers? VERY different.

I don't think anything would fit. Tank mounts & side cover tabs are totally different.

I think you're correct. But I'll still pull out my CW, because it puts a smile on my face. Great article - July '82, I believe.

Also, leading edge of seat, and trailing edge of tank, are 4 inches rear from '81 to '82. Same with footpegs.
