gs550 gs850 front forks interchangeable?

Hello folks does anyone know if gs550 forks are the same and interchangeable with gs850 thanks?

No they're not. The 550 are 35mm diameter and the 850 37mm (unless you're on about the later 83-86 550 which is 37mm as well)

thanks so if the gs550 forks are 37mm diameter they will be interchangeable regarding caliper mounts etc?

The later 550s had different calipers and I doubt they'd match but don't know for sure. Calipers from an 850 (not the GL though, with leading axle) will plug and play on an 8 valve 550.
