Gloves ..... Cold wind blowing up old leather jacket sleeve

I have always used the short leather gloves.
But I am now bored of the wind blowing up the
sleeves of ny old leather jacket.

This became an issue , although I endured
    it on a EU tour.

Anyone got any good gloves advice ?
Anyone who has rode miles and miles with an
old leather jacket will know what I mean.

Always like recommendations from true bikers
on things like this so I thought I'd ask
    before I take off again.

I prefer my Alpinestars leather gauntlet gloves and just put them over the top of my jacket sleeves during the winter

Yep, get a decent set of gauntlets.
Only time I wear short gloves is during the summer proper.

Another one for gauntlets. I've got a pair of reverse sheepskin military DR gauntlets from the 70s that are so thick you can hardly bend the fingers. Not exactly the pinnacle of style but... toasty...

I've used a set of snowmobile gauntlets for ~ 35 years and my hands NEVER get cold. They're about worn out now 8(.

I treated myself to a Gerbing's heated jacket & gloves about 10yrs ago, after 15mins into my 1st proper winter ride using them I was trying to figure why I'd waited so long.

                  Option a Cheap alternative.
Welder's gauntlets, specifically "tig welders".These are real Leather, but avoid "suede"*.
No insulation and not tailored***, but if you try a bunch on** you may find an awfully comfortable gauntlet for less than $20(CAN)...I have a pair Ive bbeen wearing for years from April-October.

Locally "Watson gloves" as a brand is worth a look. Used to be made in Vancouver. PoliceMC even bought theirs there, with reflective cuffs! Sigh. I'm not sure how far they export nowadays

                  * so-called suede is really split or "cuff-tan" and does not wear so well. Some say suede catches pavement when sliding
**might be a loose fit but perhaps try with a pair of thin cotton garden gloves..?
***My Strong Opinion: never buy gloves or boots online

My motorcycle jackets have zippers on the sleeves. Pretty much solves that issue.

Welders gloves may work for some but they won’t provide much in the way of knuckle protection. To me, that is just as, if not more, important than just wind protection
