    macbec29 on the road again

Those of you who were riding the west coast rallies in Nevada and California back in 2010 through 2012 may remember me, I am the guy who crashed his 1980 GS1000S just east of Paso Robles in July of 2012 on the way to link up with Tom in Hollister.. Well after 10 years of doing penance for my sins I finally got the wherewithal to get my crashed S out of the back of my garage where it has sat all this time and, with a lot of help from the guys at "The Garage" in San Jose, I'm putting it back together. Hoping to have it back on the road by the end of next week, albeit, with many substitute parts for the original ones I tore up driving off the top of a hill and through a barbed wire fence.

Not sure whose still around but just wanted to say hi to all and hope to be riding again with the likes of Charlie, Bruce, Salty, azr, posplayer, littleroot, gustovh, chef bill, ptexotic, wallowgreen, trevor, caligs, and the rest of the western state rally people.

Wow, now that's a great return first post. Glad you survived and had the drive to get your GS back on the road!

Welcome (back). Glad you survived the McQueen / barbed wire impersonation.
