    Hello from Alaska!

Found this group off a you tube video. This will be my first season on the GS1000 I bought over the winter. Look forward to some great rides!

Welcome! Please provide us with some photos of your journeys. Alaska is beautiful country. My father grew up in Kenai, and spoke of it often.

          Howdy, and welcome!
I visited Anchorage in 2017. Rented a motorcycle and rode out Highway 1 about a hundred miles to Glacier View ish. Turned around and rode back. Got a tattoo.

Welcome. I've been through your neck of the woods albeit close to 40 years ago. A friend of mine spent a couple of years up your way but didn't have much luck, we joked that he had a cot set up in Sarah Palins woodshed.

Welcome to the site. Yes, more pics of the bike would be great. Hurry up and enjoy your summer riding season because it only lasts about 3 weeks.........but on the plus side, when it does come at least you can ride in daylight a looonnnnggg time each day.

That's a place I'd like to visit. At least. Don't know Sam Miller do you? He's the guy taught me to ride many years ago; that is, I did my permit only time with him. Last I heard that's where he lived.

OP hasn't been back to GSR since posting. Maybe he was eaten by a bear?

Yep, the more we see the better it looks. That snow looks cold too.. OOhhh, those old double bucket seats were the thing back then, I had one on my "78" GS1000. Back in the day they were available for all bikes, now days only see them on touring bikes.

Welcome to the forum. Wow I like the look of your bike very much.

What tyres are you running in this? they add to the badass look.
