    Hello from Silverado Canyon

New member in Southern California. Currently own an '82 GS1100G, which I need to get running again. First Suzuki was a '78 GS550 I bought from my LPO while in the Navy. Very glad to increase power and do away with points and chain. Have owned motorcycles since I acquired my Mom's old Sears 250 from my brother-in-law on my 16th birthday (1973). Currently also own an '83 BMW R80ST and an '01 ('02?) Kawasaki KLR650 dual sport. Need to also get them running. Same old story, don't ride them for a while and the gas (especially in CA) gums things up. I enjoy forums like this for many of my vehicles. I belong to forums for Mercury Cougars, Dodge Durangos, Ford Crown Vics, and F-series pickups and they all bring me useful info and occasionally I even contribute something (hopefully) useful.
