    New Member, New Bike - 79 GS750L

Hey all! New member here, and I just thought I would say Hi. A friend of mine had a project bike that he sold me. A 1979 GS750L. The thing was mostly taken apart when he got it, and he has let it sit outside for several years. Almost all the parts are there (except a seat) and they have been kept inside so they are in pretty good condition.

I've owned a couple bikes, but I've never worked on any of them extensively. Really excited about getting this thing looking and running great. It has a loooong way to go, but I've got time and love to learn stuff. This forum has been a great place to get ideas and motivation. This is how it was sitting when I picked it up from him.
