    new gs1000 owner

a little back story on me....bought an 07 meanstreak SE damaged in a car accident......brought it back to 100% health....had to sell it due to not working...havent had a bike since.....before that bike, i had helped my dad rebuild this gs1000 and he traded it to someone for a cop bike he had kz1000....well just in the last couple days, that guy bought a GW and decided to sell the gs1000, so he let my dad have first shot at it for 500.00....so my dad knowing i had no bike called me and this weekend i will be the proud new owner of this bike.....its got a new rebuild on carbs and various other things....

my first order of business will be to get shocks that will lower it so i can feel like im more in control.....any thoughts?

by the way im 41, name is Ric (ecoli) and will be around here for awhile!!!

What year/model? Shaft or chain? Where do you live? You could try to reshape the seat foam to get a shorter seat height instead.
