New from FL
Hello all, name is John out of central FL area. Recently purchased a partially "bobbed" outed GS1100 in run down condition. This will be a project a buddy and I will be building together out of his garage. I have a strong mechanical background, fairly new to welding but learning very quickly, teaching my buddy as we go. Plans for the bike are hardtail, thinking Z bars, sportster tank, clean up the wiring, simple clean paint. Look forward to the knowledge you all present! Here is the bike day we got itTags: None

Welcome, and all would like to see the progress of the build to completion. Great that builders can save some bikes from the "parts" bin.

No there isnt really such thing as a proper hardtail, but better than what the previous owner did by just removing the shocks and drilling some holes through some square tube and bolting it on. Looked horrible.Originally posted by Steve View Post
