New GS1000 owner from Down Under

G'day from down under. I've been lurking for a while here, so I thought I should say hello.
Started a new project a short time ago which I'll post in the build section.
Been involved with bikes for 30 plus years, everything from road bikes which I started on, to enduro bikes and a stint road racing a TZ250 in the late nineties. I also spent a few years as an instructor for the California/Australian Superbike School.
These days, I'm more interested in the older VJM's, being a member of the local VJMC in Melbourne.
Here is a pic of my first restoration effort completed just over 2 years ago, which was the full nut and bolt resto.
Since then I have clocked up 3,000 trouble free kilometres.
Don't worry! The new project is a Suzuki, and I'll start a new post in the appropriate section.

    My new project.
    1978 GS1000.

When consulting the magic 8 ball for advice, one must first ask it "will your answers be accurate?"

Unfortunately I no longer have the TZ. Such a great bike to ride.
