Just thought it would be polite for me to introduce myself.

Chris, from Auckland NZ.

58 years old. Been on bikes alone for 43 years now. No cage ever.

Been looking for a project for a few years now to rebuild.

In 1978 I had a Norvin caf?, sold to finance my wedding. Wanted a caf? ever since.

Just bought a 1979 GS550 in absolutely rubbish condition but with new tyres and a running engine.

Arrives at my house tomorrow evening.

See pics of this bike and it cr@p condition. Just screaming out , caf? me. This will be my "project for the next year or so
