    GS850 electrical issue

Hi all, glad to be a part of this forum. I have a 1982 Gs850 and I need some assistance. I replaced my stock signal lights with LED's, I installed the resistors as well but my issue is that as soon as I plug in the headlight, the signals stop flashing. Does the headlight need to be LED also?

My next issue is I replaced the stock brake and clutch controls because both were broken and I noticed 2 things: 1. the bike wont start unless the front brake lever is depressed, and 2. i've got no brake light when i apply the front brake. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

You should get a voltmeter and do some experimenting and post up what you find( to this thread).

As for the later of your problems it sounds like you have the brake and clutch switches reversed. You might try pulling the clutch lever and seeing if you get a brake light. Just a thought.

x2 - if they are swapped you may have them reversed in the head light housing...flip them around
