Just joined as picked up a 1986 GS650GT. She is running but have an issue with the cylinder head, bolts snapped and a messy job on a repair.

I don't think we were either. But after a few interweb searches, it would appear that these are a UK specific model. Looks just like an earlier '80s G...'83 GS 1100T

We kept some of the GS (8 valvers, the 16s were called GSX) range going for a few years after it was dropped elsewhere. The 850 went on to at least 87 and then there was some stock that hung around in dealers after that.79 GS1000S
