    Hello from Pa

Hy guys I just bought an 81 gs550. I got it without an airbox and rather than spending hundreds of hours learning about pipes and jets, I'd rather take it to someone.
If anyone knows a good mechanic near central Pa id appreciate it.

Why not do it the easy way and get an airbox, filter and ride it????
It would be on the road in 3 hours.
as you might guess I'm not a fan of pods hahaha

It's looking like that's the best option from what I've read. There's one on eBay, but $50 seems high.

Keep lookin! theres gonna be a ton of them listed since every tom dick and harry is "building" a cafe racer hahhaa..
Actually it's more like taking perfectly good bikes, and rendering them unrideable...99% of the Cafes on craigslist have no titles and will never run again lol.
Craigslist would be good, too. Just find a "cafe" and hit up the owner for all the parts he tore off it hahhaha

$50 isn't horrible for an airbox in good condition. What will be expensive are the new carb boots you'll probably have to buy. Old hard shrunken ones don't work.
