Newbie here as well. I've been out of the riding scene for about 30 years, but damn, I missed it! I bought a 1982 GS1100 G that had been built by Motorcyclist magazine back in 1986. It was redone to resemble a Wes Cooley replica. It sat for 3 years in Nevada, so I had to do a bit to get it road worthy again. I have been looking for a site that doesn't concentrate on the GSXR. I'm an old guy (relatively speaking) and am not into the crotch rocket style. Here is the picture of the bike when it was featured in the magazine and another after I got it running. I just got done putting on new brakes today and replaced the windscreen that had cracked.

How about starting your own thread with some more pics of your great looking G.

Yes it would be good if you started your own introduction thread as I'm sure a few of us will have some questions about the article and bike.

Hey Ray, welcome to the group. We sure would like to see some pictures of the bike, those European blokes had all the best paint schemes. Now I'm not a worldly traveler as much as some others, but isn't Aberdeen in Scotland??? and if so, how the heck did you wind up with on of our bikes all the way up there??
