    A re-greeting from Ohio

    Hi there...

Just wanted to say hi and introduce myself. Name is Rich and I have rejoined the site after a couple year hiatus. I loved this place a few years ago when I was rebuilding a $200 GS750L (that had a simple ground wire issue, that the owner- an electrician no less- couldn't or wouldn't figure out. I had her running moments after getting her into the garage.) into a less L of a bike. Sold her after the rebuild Final pics of her are attached.

Anyway- I'm heading back this way as I am hoping tomorrow to pick up an '81 GS850G (gotta figure out a way to drag it home...). I'm really hoping is works out... I love the G and this should be a really cool winter build.

Anyway- hi all. Wish me luck.

            Welcome back to GSR.

Yah, looks like you did modify the L out of that 750L.

If that is how you modified the L, you will like the 850G.

Are some other GSR members north of Cinci.

DO look in the meetingplace section, Look for Brown County Tina Memorial rally. June. Bedford Indiana.

Do post pics when you get the 850.

If you aren't able to pick it up today, I might be able to help with the dragging on a future day off. Got an F150 1.5 hrs north in Columbus with 5K lb. hitch. Trailers are about $25 from Uhaul after taxes and insurance.

p.s. I was a member of the old forum too, also back from a hiatus.
