That's great, nice to know there will be young 'uns there! I have to firm up my finances first but I expect to go. I just got back from Portland, picking up the GS1100E and will start a new thread on my first impressions and what if anything I think is needing fixing. Looking forward to the new adventure! -
You do know, that the '83 1100e is considered by many to be the best of the old air-cooled superbikes?1982 GS1100E V&H "SS" exhaust, APE pods, 1150 oil cooler, 140 speedo, 99.3 rear wheel HP, black engine, '83 red
2016 XL883L sigpic Two-tone blue and white. Almost 42 hp! Status: destroyed, now owned by the insurance company. The hole in my memory starts an hour before the accident and ends 24 hours after.Comment

I did not know that. I do know that I loved my old 1982 GS1100G and my 1972 GT750, so if what you say is true then I am in for one helluva adventure. I better check to make sure my medical insurance is up to date.Comment
