    Hi from Buffalo

Hi, I recently acquired a 79 GS550. It was in runningish condition but hasn't been ridden since around 2009. After cleaning out the carbs and putting in some fresh plugs she seems to run pretty well. I have a two old Hondas and this is my first Suzuki. Hopefully I'll have her on the road soon.

    and the Hondas(frowned upon?)

Welcome. We don't frown on anything cool here. Unless maybe there was a Sawzall involved. The 350 and 400F bikes were a hoot. You could leave a lot of bigger bikes behind in the twisties.

      Welcome to the site, Igartley.
      Decent looking GS.
The stock exhaust in good shape is a bonus.
      A '66 CB77 in the background?

When consulting the magic 8 ball for advice, one must first ask it "will your answers be accurate?"

                  Welcome.
No frowns for the Hondas, in fact you may find some around here that don't even own a Suzuki.
