    Gs 1100e chain gaurd

Can anyone tell me if a Gs1100e chain guard is metal or plastic , and possibly post a picture 82-83 I believe. I have someone who wants one and I have a pile of unmarked chain guards, mostly plastic though.
    thanks in advance

Ours were metal so I'd expect yours to be the same.

I believe you're right. Ive got a chrome one (81) on my 82 (silver engine/pipes). The black guards look better on the 83s (black engines/pipes).

          81, 82 & 83 all metal.

My '82 is black (metal). Is that the correct color? (PO painted the bike to look like an '83.)

Black is correct for an '82.
