    Aussie GS750EC

Greetings all, have just bought a very tidy GS750E after looking for ages for a Honda CB750K. In AUS the Hondas are few and far between, and when one comes up in any kind of reasonable condition, the prices are so far over the top!!
I reckon I've gone down the right road with this....I rode it a couple of days back....smiles abound!
    Cheers
    Andy

Nice looking ride, and welcome to the forum. You will have no regrets on purchasing a GS over a Honda. Enjoy, and check out Basscliff's website for some excellent tutorials.

Hi Steve, I don't know the full history yet, but like me, it's been a Perth bike for a fair while.

Thanks all for the nice remarks!
I realise that my initial (1st) post was "arse about" i.e. I should have given a bit of info about myself first of all. Oops.
So....I live in a northern suburb of Perth...have done since 1988. Prior to that I lived in the NW of WA in a small town called Carnarvon.
I first learned to ride on a Bridgestone 90 and a Triumph 650 when we were still in our early teens (no licence, no helmet) LOL!
Since those early times, I've had a number of bikes as can be seen in my sig.
My longest break between bikes was after I sold my Beemer R100LT in the late 90s. In April '17 my enthusiasm (which had been lurking below the surface) was rekindled when I rode a fully restored (read "Concours"!) Honda CB750K1 that belongs to a long-time friend/work colleague.
I then hunted around for a bike I could tinker with and came across a '72 CB500 that was in cafe racer style. Being late 60s of age a cafe racer was too uncomfortable for me!!

It begged to be restored to something of its original glory so I set about a stock-ish restmod which I completed in late '17.
So as I indicated in my 1st post, I was looking for a decent CB750K series but gave that up quick time!
Instead I found this GS750E beauty!

There you have it...my (brief) story!

                          Cheers

Picking up the bike tomorrow afternoon (Sunday Perth time! ) then a 40+ km ride back home on the mobile carpark otherwise known as the Kwinana Freeway, then onto the Mitchell F/W.

Unfortunately Perth didn't learn from the mistakes of much bigger cities e.g. Los Angeles, so all our major freeways get clogged most times of most days...........argh!!

The good thing is that it only takes 15-20mins to escape the urban madness, then we have some great roads to give our classic bikes their heads!!
