New member from Aus with a new to me '84 GSX750EF

Hi everyone, I recently picked up a 1984 GSX750EF down here in Australia for a pretty good price and in the process of giving it some love before registering and riding it. I've seen the big list on here and will work my way through those. The bike is in pretty good original condition. It ran quite well when I test rode it (once we put fresh fuel in it). Due to it living near the coast there is a bit of light surface rust on the frame which I'm going to tidy up, but otherwise mechanically good - I will still disassemble and clean the carbs and test the electrics amongst other things as recommended here. The paint is in excellent condition given its age and is one of my favourite colour schemes - the classic Suzi blue on white with red flashes.

I'm sure I'll be asking a lot of dumb questions on here but will do my best to search for answers first! I'm learning as I go with wrenching, this will be a step up from working on my dirt bike!

When consulting the magic 8 ball for advice, one must first ask it "will your answers be accurate?"

Hey mate, welcome from sunny Brissy!

Nice score on the 750, keep us up to date with pic's of your progress too.

If you don't know, you have an excellent dealer down your way: Mick Hone in Mont Albert. Really good service with quite competitive pricing too.
