    According to this, the bike would be a 1980 ET.

          Unless you are aiming for a "matching numbers", original to the bone restoration it's a great bike or will be when you're done. I like the fact it has a kickstarter.

            Just because it’s a mutt, doesn’t mean it won’t be great. My bike and my dog are both mutts. I love them both.

              Doesn't matter unless you're thinking of entering concours shows. Only thing you'll have to be sure about when ordering parts is to know what year part you want and there aren't that many on your bike that are year critical.

                Thanks all. I'm all in with it now so i'll have to persevere.

                If i go go down the route of stripping it, i'll probably go the 650 head way

                  If you are looking for "650", you will need more than the head.

                  You will also need the cylinders and pistons.
