    New GS650GT owner

Greetings, I'm a new forum member and a proud owner of a 1981 GS650GT. The bike is current in my spare room in bits undergoing some maintenance. Hopefully should all back together and running just in time for this coming spring and warmer weather.

Would the upgraded brakes come from gs850 or gs1000?

Hi, Antonius! I have the same bike...With twin disks at front and a rear disk too, I've never had any trouble stopping the bike...There's an excellent shop manual and a lot of applicable info here:
