    August BOTM

Another beautiful GS1000 with hardly any info on it.
This is frustrating when you don't even know if the owner is a member.

C'mon people, no need to be shy, give us something to link you with the GSResources.
    Am I asking too much?

Beautiful bike, and definitely not from U.S.A. as he said 19,000km. He also says like new, would be interesting to know if where he's from the standard models came with cast wheels and in that color?

I’m going to inquire about adding an additional statement on the “Photo Submission Page” encouraging folks to include a few details regarding their GS, ownership history of their GS, and where they are located.

Mark, what would be really nice, is if Forum Username was a required field for submission and that the username be displayed with the photo on the homepage, or at least somewhere at the top of the owner’s bio.

How about we do what I’ve been saying for quite some time now
start a thread where we submit for botm we a blurb on the bike and a photo? Then the admin can pick from there

Are we assuming bikes are always submitted by forum members?
Pretty sure one can use the site without joining the forum.

That has been my assumption. I may be wrong. I think it would be nice to engage the owner/poster of the BOTM in an open discussion/ praise his/her nice work, etc. here on the forum for all to enjoy. I have no interest in engaging the owner via email.

Exactly so. Somebody puts up their bike for favourable comment, engagement is the price of praise.

Yes, I agree that is a best case scenario.
But still, as far as I can tell, you don't have to be a forum member to use the web site, or submit a BOM.
Nothing wrong with encouraging it, but we have enough trouble getting submissions as it is.
Put a spot on the submission form for a forum name, but don't make it a requirement.

Of course this is only one old man's opinion
