I've said this a few times....there would be no problem getting pics if you made it easier for members to sent them.
All you have to do is start a "Bike of the Month" thread. We post our pics to is with a blurb on the bike and a short story.
You pic it from there....is there a reason that it can't be done that way?
Thanks for your work doing this, it's appreciated. No signature :(

I'd go to the Homepage, grab a link for the BOTM photo submission instructions and post it here. But whenever I try to go to the Homepage, I just get:
Hacker Alert Lockout!
Anyway, I believe that new members may not typically go to the homepage (I rarely do), just visit the forum, and may never find out about the BOTM. So, Mark, if you could as least link that in your call for entries.
And I agree with Trevor. (it happens,
). Entry process needs be made easier, like he said. Or have have an option for submitters to email you (Mark) their photo for you to format however it needs to be to fit. Not everyone is good at that stuff. I do consider myself good at posting pics on the forum, and I struggled with the parameters when I submitted mine.
And, Mark, can you answer these questions for me? I and others are curious:
1) Is GSR membership a condition of entry in to the BOTM?
if not, fine, I guess.
2) But, if GSR membership is a condition of entry in to the BOTM, can you please list the winner's member name under the winning photo. Real Names are fine, but really don't tell us who that person is, or let us interact with that person on the forum to discuss (praise) the bike/photo.
Thanks for trying to keep up the BOTM feature.

Or, here's an idea. Just put up a generic picture of a motorcycle on the home page and do away with Bike of the Month altogether. Head ache gone, problem solved...My Motorcycles:
22 Kawasaki Z900 RS (Candy Tone Blue)
22 BMW K1600GT (Probably been to a town near you)
82 1100e Drag Bike (needs race engine)
81 1100e Street Bike (with race engine)
79 1000e (all original)
82 850g (all original)
80 KZ 650F (needs restored)

Due to a huge number of attempts by foreign and domestic actors trying to break into our webserver, I have had to write code to prevent tthis . One of the checks my code does is make sure a person or bot does not try to do a large amount of page loading in a short period of time. The current limit is set for 10 pageloads in 90

trevor, Rich82CS750TZ, storm 64, and anyone else with ideas -
PLEASE send your desires & suggestions directly to Frank Perrault regarding anything related to the GS Resources Bike of the Month feature, or anything related to the GS Resources photo submission process. Frank’s contact information can be found on the GS Resources website.
Please keep in mind that Frank seldom reads forum threads, so making suggestions on the this forum is not the way to get changes made….and keep in mind that I do not have the ability to make any of the changes you guys have recommended. If you have any questions about this, please send me a Private Message and I can discuss this in greater detail.
Thank you so much for being part of the GS Resources family !

Mark,
No offence, but as Bike of the Month Editor (don't get me wrong, I wouldn't want your [not doubt payless] job). I would think that you, yourself, would want to see some kind of positive change to the BOTM submission process, and that as such, you might have an easier time getting an audience with / a response from Frank.
To wit:
Unrelated, but, I have recently, repeatedly attempted to have Frank look at the somewhat new inability the site has developed whereby users are unable to edit/create a new signature with more than just a few characters in it. Repeated requests have gone unanswered, without so much as a "no, sorry, can't do that", or "I'll look into it", or "you're doing it wrong".
We seem to have this similar exchange: You, me, Norm, Trevor, others each time you put up a request for submissions.
All that said, I do enjoy the forum, and very much appreciate what you, Don, and Frank do to keep the place a neat.
