Hi sorry it's been a while since your post, the silver plate on the headstock is there and in good condition but there is no markings as you suggest referring to year or model. The only thinks on there are model GS850. displacement and the engine no 13875 and frame no 128157 so I am no nearer as to the actual model which would be good for parts ordering.
i was under the impression it was a GT but who knows.
The bike was first registered new in the UK 1983
