).Anyway, this girl was properly geared up and she was practicing street riding. Not perfect technique, but perfect effort - trying to do everything right. Downshifting to a stop, complete stops, checking all ways before proceeding, signalling even when no other vehicles were around, etc. She was riding around my quiet neighbourhood, at a reasonable pace, for quite awhile.
Why a post on this? Well, in a town where everyone is either a H-D bad-ass, a squid or a high school scooter type in a fancy lid, t-shirt, shorts and sandals (I swear Aylmer is the scooter capital of Canada), it was refreshing to see someone making an effort to do things the right way at a young age.
I wish that young woman many many miles of fun, safe travels.
