Well, over here (netherlands) any type of 'competition' on the road is considered illigal AFAIK. So the average group of custom riders could be doing something illigal (let's see who can ride the slowest without falling)
Funny stories here btw. And I guess everyone has themComment

I have been focusing this year on conciously leaning into the turns and improving my cornering skills. I was amazed at how slow I used to be. Now I find myself speeding up in the turns so I don't fall to the inside! I am now more comfortable going 10 MPH faster and leaning in compared to the BS cornering style I had before. I am falling in love with my bike all over again.Comment

I love riding my Harley and love riding my GS1100. I don't race anybody on either - it could be fun but I have a family to go back to, and know my limits. The GS does amaze me with how fast it can go, but impresses me more by how happy it is at any speed. That's what really blows me away actually - it doesn't "have to" go fast. It can and will but is happy to plod as well. So many new bikes make you feel like you have to race, and I don't really like that!
My GS is almost the perfect bike for me in a lot of ways. It's good for short city errands, longer lazy rides, is ridiculously comfortable and looks fantastic. Plus it was really cheap and was easy and fun to rebuild into what I wanted - well it's nearly finished anyway. It has been good to learn about how to fix bikes with my GS.
A lot of folks think it's some old vintage bike with the skinny wheels and old style lights (not stock). But when I take off at the lights they get a surprise.
Anyway I like all kinds of bikes. It's not the brand that makes guys idiots - they were like that before they got on. Here in Australia hoons used to ride Kawasakis in the 70s. Now they ride Harleys. What next?Comment
