I'm seeing all the pictures. Not too long ago I found a patch for photo bucket for Firefox and it seems to work.

Are you going on this ride this year? reason I ask is maybe I could wander down there and ride with you.

Cool, thanks for checking in. Strange about the links because I never did any of the patches. I figured I’d let the thread get buried, or fix it when needed.

Eli, plans are still very much in the air.
The change up is that if it’s a go this year the wife and kids will be coming along, we’ll be up there longer, and get in a mini family vacation. I will be bringing the bike and still have a bike day out with my cousin and whoever else. I may ride up or trailer it ( if I can rent / buy one for cheap). The kids have been wanting to go up for quite some time, and I want them to see where their grandfathers ashes were scattered. I’m also feeling the time crunch as my older son has two summers with before the whole college thing.

I know that you like Moto camping, and there are a few campgrounds in the area. Rooms at the Inn are cheap too.
We’re looking into the end of July, roughly the 26th to 2nd of August. A meet up / ride would be cool!

I haven’t been back since 2015. It seems so long ago.

My reason for dredging this up is that it may happen this year, albeit in a different form. Plans are VERY sketchy at the moment, but at least there is a glimmer of hope, hence the reason for the revisit and possible photo link fix...
          I see all the photos.

Holding a thought for you, hope it works out this year.

I saw that and looked up SR 666. I’ve never been that far north in PA.

I really think that that it’s just details... earlier tonight my older son was asking about it. He really wants to see a truly starry night sky, not what we have here in central Jersey. I’m thinking that I can’t not go.... I called my aunt to check for a room - a formality really- we’re family.

                Looks like it’s a go!
Traveling up on 7/26, leaving 8/2. Boys day out on the bikes will most likely be Monday 7/30.
I gave up on trailering pretty quickly. It would be another layer of stuff to deal with as far as finding / buying one, registering, etc. I’m going to ride mostly highways and play tag with the wife and kids so I can check on the bikes and other stuff on the car. Cool that I won’t have to load the bike up, probably just my small bag for drinks, etc.
picked up oil for the bike today so I can do an oil change this week. Also have to fix a dead power door lock on the car before we go.

As as long as I don’t do anything stupid like die, crash my bike, etc it should be set.

Full on weather geekery has ensued... chance for rain every day from 60% to 20%..... not conerned, other then I'm hoping for some clear nights, as my older son wants to see stars free from NJ light pollution. Even if we do, we're coming upon a full moon.

Cycle is pretty much set. Today I addressed the third crack in the sidepanel. Its been cracked for a while, and the clearcoat on the paint is failing, but being that it's still in one piece, and finding matching replacement parts is a task, I figured I'd prolong it's slow demise.

It has actually been more work getting the family bicycles in order.

Motorcycle day is going to be Sunday...

The three days of work this week will likely be a scatter brained hot mess.

                          Thanks Charlie.

Spent about an hour plus tonight goofing off in the garage, listening to music, drinking beer, and looking for my tire plug kit that I bought in Maryland a few years ago when I picked up a drywall screw. I finally found it - it was in the basement.

Busy couple of nights. It’s a different game planning a bike trip and family trip at the same time.
Bike part was actually pretty easy - topped off tires, checked the battery water, checked the lights, and lubed the chain. I actually considered washing it, but with the weather forecast, I instead chose to apply Rain X on my helmet shield and the bike windscreen. It’s of no use on the windscreen other then the pure entertainment of watching the beads roll off. Bike will only be carrying one bag with rain gear, plug kit, Motrin, and a few other bits, which is a nice change.

Checked the car and found a leaky tire. Thank goodness I did it last night. The wife took care of it today.
We’ll be traveling the same route, but not necessarily together, meeting up at two stops. All highway until we hit the Pine Creek Valley.
Probably for the better. After watching the weather, news, and hearing from my cousin, it seems that central PA has been hammed with rain and there is flooding, road closures, etc.

The dog is with the in laws. Up at 5 tomorrow to load up bicycles on the car, on the road at 6ish. First stop.... breakfast.
