5000km road trip VIC to NT Australia

After the QLD trip in July I wanted more, so it was off to the big red rock out in the centre of OZ. Uluru, or as other folk call it Ayres rock. August 1995. Link to first pic of 43. Cheers http://s1161.photobucket.com/user/jo...gusta.jpg.html

Well done, like to do that ride again.
last time was in 1981. Bone crushing ride on the old dirt road from port Augustin to Kulgera .
Those wedge tail eagles are huge, I nearly hit one when he pulled his head out of a dead horse on the side of the road then decided to take off, p@rk.
    thx

I need to go there. There is a reason I live where I do, but big red rocks with tribal significance, no matter where they are, have special pull.

This one's in Sedona. Courthouse Butte.

Steve - At least the new road North from Port Augusta is good bitumen now. Plenty of rough roads heading out to the stations and the old road is still there. Yeah those eagles were just incredible flying above us... and they did at some point fly along with us as we rode. Probably trying to work out if they could take me down! haha!

GS1150Pilot - yeah the red rocks interest me too. Amazing bit of country out there. I looked up Sedona. Arizona looks very interesting. Would like to go sometime. Cheers
