    Art Baumann, RIP

Not a forum member, but could have been an honorary-

I worked with Art at a now long-gone, short-lived Suzuki shop in
San Francisco for about a year. I'm pretty sure he was the first
Suzuki AMA Road Race winner in the late 60's, early 70's. Quite
the character, as were so many back then, he had the respect,
nearly awe of a young Kenny Roberts back then for his win-or-
crash attitude. He certainly loved GS's, and working on them back
in 77-78. Gary Fisher, of Yoshimura fame, also worked with us. Quite
    the shock for me.

    Bummer.

I used to root for Mr Baumann and Jody Nicholas back when I was a kid.

Surprized to see him listed as aKawasaki rider, even though obviously, he rode one.
