Bruce Brown passed away on Dec. 10, 2017.

Film Maker of Slippery When Wet, The Barefoot Adventurer, On any Sunday passed away last winter. I own DVDs of all his films.

I'll never forget Gene Romero's quote at the start of a National Heat Race: "I don't want to hurt anybody, but I've got to get third no matter what. I'm getting third, or come see me in the hospital. I dig carnations".

Brown really captured the intensity and the competitiveness of the racers competing in the 1970 Grand National championship. I'll never forget seeing that movie, with my dad, at the Bangor Drive In in 1970.

Barefoot Adventurer is pretty funny too.

That's sad. I'm really overdue for another screening of On Any Sunday.

When consulting the magic 8 ball for advice, one must first ask it "will your answers be accurate?"

I don't want to seem to be asking a stupid question, even though I have many times. What brought up this thread? It's not an anniversary.

BTW, my Kawi instructor Mr. Mastella(Mas for short) at MMI played On any Sunday in class one night. None of the kids had ever even heard of it, let alone seen it.
