James Stanley Smith ( detorn )

James Stanley Smith was a fan of the GS bikes and owned quite a few including a 550 Kat. He was killed in a car accident Sunday January 26, 2020 early in the AM. I knew him almost 15 years and considered him a good friend. His journey started with the Kat and moved through a GS1000G, an LTD kawi, a 550E and then a GSX-R600. James always had a thing for the small GS bikes and was always talking about getting another.

He used the handle detorn on the GSR. He was 43 YO.

    RIP

Sorry to hear of the loss of your good friend and fellow GSR member. So young, too.

Very sorry to hear this. I only recall his handle ; it like it has been a quite a while since here was here.

It is dangerous out there, apparently even early in the AM.

Sorry to hear of this. I remember him from my first few years here.
If I recall he tried to organize a ride in the NJ / Pa area, but it never happened.
