Austin Moto Fest, April 13... Be There!

We're developing load-in/load-out plans for show bikes as i type, and will post info to AMF website once confirmed.

Regarding helmets, we're planning on a helmet check room... much like a cloak room, only for skid lids. As for backpacks, jackets, gear, etc... well, travel light Will try to accommodate as much as possible, though.

looks like my wife and I will probably make it there sometime in the afternoon. Kids first soccer games are over by 11:30am here in houston and then it's a nice little drive over to austin so long as the babysitter comes through.

We just acquired this old KZ650 as the project bike to help fund Push Starters. The old girl will be on display at AMF, and after the show the resto will begin with the help of some kind and skilled folks. Then she'll be auctioned off at AMF 2014, and funds will go to help a few underprivileged kids get their MSF instruction and some riding gear.

Yeah, we had to noodle over the date thing for some time... and decided that it would be a good idea to launch AMF the weekend before the BIG party; less "noise", a chance for locals to become educated about Austin's impressive motorcycling history as well as MotoGP, and not have to worry about the 600 lb. gorilla over-shadowing our little festival with assorted "fan fests" and whatnot.

In the end, we were spot on about the date, as COTA is now one of our vendors (they're gonna market the race at AMF) and are offering up a sizable lot of free race passes for us to use at our discretion

Next year may be a different story as we grow the festival. Stay tuned!

You KNOW you're on the short list, Chuck. Aired the tires before we left the venue; we'll see if she's still standing tomorrow.

Not all good people ride GS's, but I'd imagine all people who do are good. There are too many things going on this spring in SE Texas to decide what to do. Every weekend has great events in multiple cities. Austin wins out this weekend. Looks like we should have a babysitter even if the first choice backs out. Can't wait to make the ride with my purty lady and finally put some faces to all the help I've gotten over the last year.

Hi Frank.

Thanks for the reminder. I know we talked about going down for this, but work has up and grabbed me for the remainder of the month. Pity too, as there are a few dual sports in the Austin area that I am really interested in.
