Vegas baby
Headed to Las Vegas this week for a little R&R. I rented a GoldWing 1800 for a day (it's no GS, but it'll have to do...), and am looking for a good 4-6 hour ride for my GF and me.

Ended up riding Kyle Canyon/Mt Charleston - would highly recommend.
Also took the mandatory trip down to the Hoover Dam.
My remorse over cheating on my GS with a Goldwing is waning. Slowly.

The Wing was a beast. 2-up, full of gas and gear, I figure she weighed around 1,450 lbs. That said, she was a dream to ride. Bells & whistles everywhere. Really nice on the freeway, and at altitude, where older bikes can yearn for fuel injection.Originally posted by eil View PostApparently I missed this thread twice.
Glad you had a good time. How did you like the 'wing? Pics?
The la-z-boy rear seat is so far back though, that 2-up in slow maneuvers is a little squirrelly. All in all, well worth the $140 I paid.
Rode on a high wind advisory day, and I will say I missed my GS a ton in the nasty crosswinds. The Wing has no holes! The thing's a sail. So in swirling 40-50mph desert winds, it kind of behaves like a panel van. But...., a panel van with 1800 cc's and a really, really good stereo.
Pics soon.

Mt Charleston lunch spot - 8,000 feet up.
BTW - trying to post these right to the thread, large format. Anyone know how to do that?
