Looks like a nice ride. Those speedo and tach cables could use some lube, if they're not too far gone already. Bouncy bouncy!

This was edited on the iPad? Is that why the resolution limited to 240p?

Yea I set it that low since I am not sure what the 720 would be size wise. I'll play with it some.

Cables have been lubed a few times; I'm going to tear into the gauges themselves this winter.

Holy Necropost Batman! I said I would re-do this ride and guess what, it's about to finally happen - almost 4 years later.

That's right, I'm leaving on Sunday as weather has pushed me back a day from my original plans and will return Labor Day Weekend. I'm going to take the Bandit this time so I won't have any side stand issues fortunately. I still plan on stopping to see the Manassas Battlegrounds and Appomattox but sadly North Carolina's Governor said museums can't social distance properly so I won't be able to stop into Wheels Through Time this year. I'll ride up Cherohola Skyway on the way home but won't do the Dragon.

        The planned route:

That's great! Looks like a fun route. And there's just nothing like taking a long motorcycle trip. Best wishes for all the fun, none of the drama, and may all the LEO avoid your path.

That should be a nice leisurely trip. I've never spent a week on the bike. I should try that someday. (Next year for sure.)

You came close to that a few years ago, when Simon and Deb showed up.

You broke off early to meet up with your brother or something, so I don't know how much more of that week you were actually on a bike.

A week on the bike for Dale would be 11,248 laps around the racetrack!

Good point. That might have been nearly a week. Lemme see here...

                      1. Travel to BRP
                      2. BRP
                      3. split off, BRP etc. (turned left at Little Switzerland) to brothers's house
                      4. Travel to Deal's Gap to meet criddle & friend whose name I forgot (he rode a Monster)
                      5. Deal's Gap, Cherahola, etc. ride home.

Well, that was five days. I'm not sure it counts for a week.

Happy travels Scott. Enjoy. Try to sleep tonight. I generally don't sleep well the night before a moto trip due to the excitement and anticipation.

I'm wishing you a fun, safe ride Scott. Watch you speed in Virginia, 10 over is a felony! Take a lot of pictures and give us ride reports, I know you will. I'm sure you'll have a great time. 👍

Pretty sure it's 20 over before it becomes a felony there, but maybe that was a bit of fun there. Safe-and fun-travels, Scott!

Yes, you are right. In Virginia it is speeding up to 19mph over the speed limit. It is reckless operation anything over that. Reckless Operation is the same level of offence as a DUI. Just keep it cool in Virginia, Virginia. 😃
