Mr. Beard and I stayed another night so we could get another day of riding since we didn't get there until Friday. We hadn't ridden together for many years since he moved out to Phoenix area. It was good to ride with my old partner in crime again. I made it home Monday about 11:30 am. Dave Beard made to his first hotel stop on his way back to Pboenix about 6:30 pm. We left the Rosemount at 7 am. Another good rally in the books. Nice to see some of the regulars again and meet some new folks. Thanks to Brian, Jay and Bonita. Wouldn't be the same without any of them.

    Friday about 1130am.

Overlook Resterant on Ohio River, Leavenworth Ohio. IN62.
That is Kentucky on other side of river.

    Rich and Ben.

That line up of bikes, the licence plates would be Michigan (me), Illinois (Ben), Pennsylvania (Rich) , Indiania (Brett) and Ohio (Scott)

Sitting in resteraunt, good view of Ohio River. Then we notice what must be Norms K'saki 400RR in parking lot. How rude of us to not have noticed and go find him. Norm must already be in there somewhere.
A little Later he stopped by.

Me, Ben, GriffinBret, Rich, CowboyScott, StormNorm

Later Brian and a couple others came in. (THey probably already had more miles before lunch, than what I was gonna get all day.)

We followed Scott, proceeded west on 62, including the detour on I64.
    Brett headed out on own.
A little later Norms new 400RR went zzzzzzssssssssscreaming past us, wound up pretty good. I quess the break-in was complete, or maybe that WAS the break in.

Heading north 145(?) in some curves I felt bike breaking out sideways quite a bit, OH! some chip-seal patches that I didnt notice. Then I noticed another chip-seal patch but hit it anyway and bike squirmed around. Okay, I am tired, it has been hot, upper 80s, I am hot and tired, I am fatigued. Its after 2 in the afternoon. Let Scott know, am heading back. Okay, look at map, whats the direct route back to Bedford? 150east to 37 north. Ben and I head back. With a little rest stop in Paoli. Back to motel well before 4pm.
Dont recall mileage for the day, maybe a little over 150.

Good day, other than being hot.

    Friday morning Medora Covered Bridge.

THe 3 GSes of the group

(Rich got good group parking lot photo, posted already.)

Then Bob headed out on his own.

THe other 5 of us proceeded to Salem and Becks Mill Road. Becks Mill Road ! ! !
Scott and I talked about finding a place along the side of the road for a roadside-group photo.
Scott found a place and pointed, and we pulled over and circled around and stopped next to each other.
Brett was a bit puzzed about what was going on (ask him about it, he likes to tell about these weirdos he was riding with).

    Me, Brett, Scott, Ben
    Hey, where is Rich?

    Oh, here is Rich

Setting up his cellphone camera on little tripod.

    Becks Mills Road ! !

    IN62 ! !

More Medora Brick Kiln Friday morning.

In addition to the kilns there are these chimney stacks, I think part of the underground plenumns.
THe place is out in middle of fields and woods, but note that is one house nearby that can see.

Scott and Rich meet some local kids that came running from that one house.

Brett inspecting one of the kilns. Of the 8 or so remaining kilns, some are partly collapsed or otherwized filled with bricks and debris, and some are more inviting.

    Friday ride:

THat morning I had half an idea of where to go for the day, maybe Tunnelton and Medora, maybe stop at Brick Kiln, wander around someways to Becks Mill Road, then find a way to IN62 and then decide what/where to wander around.
And before done with Jay Breakfast, where 5 others wanting to go along.
So Scot led cuz he had a route on GPS for Medora Brick Kilns, Medora Covered Bridge, Becks Mill Road and down to IN62 to Overlook on Ohio River, then further west (construction detour) and then something like BirdsEye , 145, French Lick, 150, Shoals, 450.
One rider said would breakoff after Medora, others said would breakoff later.
(I was thinking that bye about 2pm I would not want to be getting further away from the motel.)

Scots route took us on 50, and then on roads I had never gone before, which was interesting.
    Arriving at Medora Brick Kiln
(If you want to find info, look for Medora Brick Kiln, not brick plant).

Me , Ben, Rich82GS750TZ Rich, Baatfam Bob, Griffin Brett, cowboyup3371 Scott

Me, Ben, Bob, Rich. Ah, where did Scott go.
