    Editing Signature.

Signature editing question for the mods Don dpep, Frankadministrator

It seems I've hit a snag. Attempting to alter my signature has resulted in me losing most of it. I've saved a copy of my previous signature with all of its links I used to have there in one of my old posts, so can easily get them back, if we find a way to resolve the issue.

I was attempting to add a link to the Pic of the Week Log I've just created. But even if I got rid of everything else and attempt to have only this link:

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1d2K8AZZsT9gYBT-UBU1-lClRa53BigK8/edit?usp=sharing&ouid=117223066514618103837&rtpof= true&sd=true

(135 characters) linked in a very short descriptor - POTW log - I get the the error message:
    • Your signature cannot be longer than 150 characters including BB code markup.
There was a time when I had more characters, more links, even an animated gif in my signature.

Could you please look into this? Can we have a higher limit for the signatures? Or is there some other issue that I don't understand? (entirely plausible)

Thanks for your attention. And if any other members can see what I may be doing wrong, please advise.

I agree, this needs to be looked into. Signature update has not worked correctly for several months now.

This remains an issue. Any resolution or guidance you could offer would be greatly appreciated.

I've reduced my signature to a single word that is a link to a google doc that I created to hold the few links which I used to be able to display. And I'm pretty sure that won't work if anyone clicks on it and they're not signed into a google account themselves.

I can't add so much as my 4-letter first name without getting the error message:
"Your signature cannot be longer than 150 characters including BB code markup."

Is there any help to be had here?

I can't even find the signature settings, but maybe it's hidden for us newbies.

dandypop , it's not hidden. Pull down your username, go to your user settings. Go to the account tab. the signature settings are about 2/3 of the way down. You also have to be viewing the forum as POSTS and not LATEST ACTIVITY in order to see signatures.

Any update on editing signatures?? Still seems very janky.
